Some students may qualify for fee assistance.  If you believe you may qualify for fee assistance, please contact East bookkeeper Tracey Fetters at 515-242-7759 or email tracey.fetters@dmschools.org

Alternatively, East High School is also partnered with Iowa’s Skip The Trip program. This program allows students to take the written exam at school for their driving permit. Once a student passes the exam, they have 180 days to obtain their permit at one of the DOT sites in the metro.

Written exams are proctored on a monthly basis with Madeline Cano, East Community School Coordinator. Please email her at madeline.cano@dmschools.org to sign up for an exam.  Students must bring their own laptops to the permit exam at school. Additional information on obtaining a driver’s license can be found here.
