DART
A current student ID, without a DART sticker, may be used after 4pm on school days, during breaks and during the summer, to ride the DART for FREE. Just respectfully show the DART driver your ID and get a free ride.

Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART) busses serve selected middle and high schools.
Eligible and assigned students are issued a “Ride DART Free” sticker for their student ID allowing access to regular and special to/from school DART routes.
All other middle and high school students may ride regular DART routes with their student ID after 4:00pm on weekdays, on weekends, and during breaks at no charge (no sticker needed).

Keep in mind students at middle and high schools are eligible to purchase reduced fare bus passes, monthly and weekly at a discounted price when showing their current year school ID. The student or the parent may purchase the bus pass. Student does not need to be present.
All students must show their valid school ID when boarding the bus. Tokens and cash are not accepted for the student reduced fare program.
Refugees from area agencies will receive Reduced Fare ID cards that enable them to purchase DART Reduced Fare bus passes and tokens. All refugee reduced fare users must show their Reduced Fare ID card when boarding the bus to utilize the discounted fare.
