Center 1: Choir Room (2000C)

Center 1 (musical theatre) will have 9 chairs like you see in the photo and sturdy table.

Center 2: Auditorium (Warm Up 2076M)

Center 2 (one-act play) will have a lightboard operator. You are welcome to have a student sit with the lightboard operator and give up and down cues for the lights. For sound, there is an outlet on the front of the stage. You can plug-in your speakers to self-operate. There are staff bathrooms that will be open for make-up and student changing. They are not large, but they are for costume changing and make-up. The staff restrooms are behind the auditorium and on either side of the stage. Room 2076M (directly behind the auditorium) will be a rehearsal room for the upcoming performing school to be in.

Center 2 (choral reading) will be on the auditorium stage. There are staff bathrooms that will be open for make-up and student changing. Center 3 (short film): 2084C

Center 3 (short film) will have at least 1 cart in the hallway for set up. We will provide an extension cord, and the projection will be on the whiteboard.

Center 4 (ensemble acting): 2083C

Center 4 (ensemble acting) will have 7 chairs and a table.

Center 5: 2081C

Center 5 (solo mime & group mime) will have a music stand for an easel and 7 chairs.

Center 5 (short film) will have at least 1 cart in the hallway for set up. We will provide an extension cord, and the projection will be on the whiteboard.

Center 6: 2080C

Center 6 (radio news & television news) will have at least 1 cart in the hallway for set up. We will provide an extension cord, and for television news the projection will be on the whiteboard.

Center 6 (group improvisation) will have 5 chairs.

Center 7: Library

Center 7 (group improvisation) will be in the library. This is a large space and has a balcony. Performances will be on the lower level of the library. 5 chairs will be provided.

Center 8: Band Room

Center 8 (reader’s theatre) is in the band room. The ceilings are high. The performance area will be in the front of the room so that performers can enter through one door and out the opposite door. If risers are needed by East High School, you need to contact Ginger Johnson ahead of time so that we can move them from the main building to the east wing. We will have 15 chairs in the band room for any and all teams to use. This area is the furthest from all other centers but closest to the gym.

Center 9: Community Gym

Concessions is being provided by the EHS activities office. It is between the main gym and the cafeteria. Please have your students eat at East rather than running to McDonalds or other restaurants. Please have them support our activity’s program rather than ordering from UberEats.

The cafeteria is large and will provide you and your students area to eat, relax, and see the center scores. It is after the main office and on your way to the gym. You can enter the “main” building from the north and south exits of the cafeteria.

There will be a bus driver’s lounge. Please ask in the office for directions.

The main office is directly to your left when you enter the main doors, on the north side the school. For safety reasons, the north doors will be the only unlocked doors during competition hours.
